7. Mystery Date

I have never been on a blind date before so I didnt know what to expect. When the girls came in and asked me if I wanted to go I really just agreed because I was so surprised. I spent time wondering what to wear who it could possibly be and if it would be fun. I had heard good and bad things about these mystery dates and all I wanted to do was just have a good time. I started thinking about everyone i knew in NT and i couldnt think of anyone. I just kept thinking about who could have possibly picked me.
The event was supposed to be a dancing in the streets and it was scheduled for this past friday night. When I was getting ready I was pretty anxious to know who was my date for the night. As my friend and I walked over towards where we were supposed to meet our dates, we talked about what we thought the night might turn out to be like. When I reached my date I was surpirsed to see who it was. Caroline is a friend of mine from back home. My mom knows her family so it was a good person to have as a date. When we got to the site of the event we were both a little disappointed because the band was and orchestra and then they started to play a movie.
The sad part of the night is that I was not able to stay for very long. As every friday night goes I have a meeting at 9 PM and it interfered with the mystery date. I was not there as long as I would have liked but overall the night was fun. I think the mystery date idea is good becuase you kind of get out of your comfort zone and it helps you meet new people. I like the idea and I think MC should have more events like that.
