6. Service Learning

This past Thursday I had a very interesting experience. I did my first service project of my life. I really had never thought about having to do one or just doing on in general, but it turned out to be just fine. I enjoyed being around the kids at the apartments and being able to just see how they live in the afternoons. I think most of them liked that we were out there playing with them. Some of them were very shy while others would run up to you and as what your name was or if you wanted to play with them. Overall it was a very rewarding experience.
The big thing is now I have to figure out how to write the paper. I need to turn my experiences that I had on Thursday into words and be able to put them on paper that can make sense. I have never been the best writer so being able to write on something that i experienced should help me out. I really liked being able to get involved with the kids and helping them have a good afternoon. It is rewarding to see them smile and laugh while they play because it seems like they are having so much fun.
I know one day I may be in a situation where i might need someones help. I think that I have a new appreciation for service projects and im glad that it is apart of the cirriculm at MC. Its a big deal to be able to help people and I know im going to make and even better effort in the future to help kids out.

4. Busy Busy Busy

It never ends at MC. I have this test one day and that test the next. All i can think about is what assignment is due on waht day, and trying to not miss class. I have football everyday and its getting to be a hastle. I just dont know how i can keep up with all this stuff. I even almost forgot to do this blog!
On a lighter note, we got our second win last night. The game was crazy for those of you who were not there. We start off the game on fire, and scored 21 points in the first quarter. Then it seemed like it started to come crashing down on us. We couldnt score on offense, and our defense started slipping. Louisiana College gave it a good fight. We were up 21-19 on the last play and they threw up a hail mary to the end zone that we knocked down.
This week has had its ups and downs. I took some very easy tests this week but also have this english paper kind of dragging me down. We won our football game, but I think I am starting to get sick. I know this whole blog has been me complaining probably. I just felt like i had to vent a little about everything that has gone on. I hope yall have a good week.
